We took part in the Carbon War Room Europe 2012 event in London, UK. This was a continuation of the development and discussions in Germany. Measures to reduce the energy consumption and emissions in Shipping and Trucking remain the main interest.

TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH's Test Report on the efficiency and safety of use of RVS Technology was completed today, 08/18/2010. The results are impressive; already during the short 3000 - 5000 km test cycle the fuel consumption and CO ₂ - emissions dropped by up to 5.6%. Read the full test here.

The final version of the report has been approved today. It is scheduled to be signed tomorrow, 18/08/2010.

Time has passed due to internal issues in TÜV SÜD. The Technical Steering Group will have a meeting today again. German precision and bureaucracy.

Holidays and layoffs in TÜV SÜD Automotive, and the surge of activity as result, have slowed down the process and analysis of results. Cylinder 3 injector feeds a bit more fuel than the others injectors. Interpretation is difficult. According to VW personnel no obvious technical fault was found, so it remains a "guesswork" whether the injector could have affected the result.

The air filter is found to be in "normal condition"? The injectors are tested by a local VW shop and tests have finally been carried out, but the analysis remain to be done.

There's a risk that the holidays slow down the examination activities.

Decision is taken to examine the air filter and fuel injectors. Their condition can potentially affect the combustion process and consequently fuel consumption and emissions.

The results (below) did not reveal any new essential information. RVS has been effective as normal and balanced out the cylinder compressions. Lower compressions have increased and the cleaning process has reduced the "high" compression of cylinder 3.

Our contact person Mr. Babin returns from a business trip. We choose to measure the compressions of the Audi engine. The reference compressions were taken before the RVS treatment. The changes might provide a hint of a hidden problem.

Heimsheim has examined the car error memory and found no error message. The ODB lamp off. What next? Technical error alternatives alone are countless and everything cannot be examined. A time out is agreed for respective party to ponder and discuss the matter and alternatives.

Preliminary test results of the 3rd car are somewhat contradictory. The results are positive, but the fuel saving has declined from 4.5 per cent to 2.5 per cent in the measurement after the 2nd treatment, contrary to the expectations. TÜV SÜD agrees that the result is illogical and surprising.

Audi has returned from the 4500 km round back to Garching and will be transferred from there to TÜV SÜD Automotive test laboratory in Heimsheim. Waiting for the results...

Audi is finally on the road. The forecast promises plenty of snow to the Munich reagion, so the Audi will face a tougher run and colder conditions than the first two test cars. The conditions set higher requirement for the driver as well in order to avoid unintentional damages and accidents. Let's hope this will not affect the results and comparability.

Okay, the test of the third car, an Audi A4, 2000 was supposed to start before Christmas, but it turned out otherwise. This is something we were a bit afraid of. We will come back to this issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile, let's hope the car get's the winter tires, at least.

The preliminary results of the second test car are ready and very impressive. We have so far been lucky with the two test cars avoiding technical problems and accidents that would have suspended the test and invalidated the results already obtained. Well, we still have to get the third car to finish, so hopefully the good luck continues ...

The test of the second car, a VW Golf, m.y. 2000 starts. Thumbs firmly towards the sky.

The first test car has gone through the test and the preliminary results look promising. Fuel consumption and emissions have reduced. Two cars would still have to be tested before credible conclusions and publishing of the results can be made.

The TÜV-test starts today. The first test car is a VW Golf TDI, model year 2001, driven 152.000 km.

RVS Technology Ltd. signed today a contract of a test project with TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH. TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH is an acredited and renowned German Research Institution. It is considered the most significant and reliable vehicle test institution in the world. The test cycle will be exactly the same used for determination of the nominal consumptions and emissions for new vehicle engines. These numbers are, for instance in Finland, used for determination of vehicle taxes. The goal of the test is to study and prove the credibility of the use of RVS technology in terms of safety and above all, in terms of efficiency on fuel consumption and emissions. When choosing the test cars it was important that the brand is very popular all over the Europe and that they are all VAG group cars with modern, economical VW / Audi 1.9 TDI engines.

The production of the first lot of RVS Technology products manufactured of the new more efficient and more reliable 3rd generation compound begins. The 3rd generation compound is manufactured utilizing Cerlub technology. New expression and name for the technology is also introduced. The new name, "Triboceramic" replaces the previously used names, "metalceramic" and "ferrosilicate". Triboceramic describes the functional process of the technology better than the old names did.
